One Chiang Khan points of interest is the banks of Mekong, probably the best-known Asian river. Beautifully landscaped with wooden walkways and railings, the river front offers a nice setting for walking and watching the beautiful sunsets on the river. on the other side of Mekong is Laos.

It's also a nice place in the morning when the sun rise even if it often offers a less interesting show that for sunset time.
