Your Travel Guide to Thailand
All information & tips to prepare your trip in Thailand
Koh Ngai is on the ferry line between Phuket and Koh Lipe and on several speedboat lines. It is therefore very easy to get there from Phuket, Koh Lanta, the other islands of Trang, Trang of course and Koh Lipe. In high season, because in low season, there are only boats from Pak Meng Pier 40 kilometers from Trang.
From Bangkok, you can come by train to Trang (I recommend the night train because it is very long, book HERE) then go to an agency opposite the station to organize your transfer to Koh Ngai or organize it in advance via our agency Trang Wonders.
Otherwise, by plane, the companies Nok Air, Thai Lion Air and Air Asia offer flights to Trang from Don Muang airport. In the arrival hall of Trang airport, there is a kiosk that will offer you transfers, often private, van then boat to Koh Ngai otherwise, once again book it in advance via our travel agency in Trang. Air Asia's plane + transfer packages were canceled with COVID and have never been put back in place since.
WARNING: many buses can only be booked 30 days before depature tops. They won't be displayed in the results on our transportation booking partner's website if not bookable yet.
