Your Travel Guide to Thailand
All information & tips to prepare your trip in Thailand
It is a relatively new temple since it was only in 1996 that the first element, the Buddha image Luang Pho Yot, was installed. There are 3 stages of climbing the temple. The first, the easiest, is via covered stairs that lead to the Chedi Bua Thong. Further on, a small, steeper staircase leads first to a standing Buddha whose platform already offers a very beautiful view. Then, you enter what I will call the climbing part through a large hole in the wall of the mountain to arrive at the last phase of climbing, a little more delicate (and dangerous if you are not vigilant) to climb on the big rock of the summit with a seated Buddha statue and an incredible view if the weather is favorable! While going up, if you take your time, you will be able to notice a lot of details, statues, mentions of the cardinal points...
The temple has also been a renowned meditation center since 2002.
