This small hilltop temple is on the road from Lampang to the impressive
Wat Chalerm Prakiat about ten kilometers before. It is an interesting little stop if you like little known temples with a curiosity. The temple is reached by a long Naga staircase that starts from the edge of the road and takes you after 220 steps to its Lanna style ubosot and its golden chedi. Another hall houses a large standing Buddha, the
''Phra Sakayamuni Khiri Akkho'', a almost 11 meters image. This temple also has a small room, called
''reflection hall''. Once the door is closed, the image of the chedi is projected upside down on a sheet. It is the curiosity of this temple that sometimes visitors miss. Same phenomenon can be found in other temples in Lampang Province, including the
Wat Phra That Luang, but there, the hall where it happens is forbidden to the woman, not here.
