Located 2 km away from Phimai city center , this park is unique. Its small island in a pond hosts what should be the largest and oldest (350 years old) banyan tree in Asia. Its roots and ramifications have created a real forest where you can stroll in the shade of the arches they form. The pond with the sky and clouds reflecting and is lovely too. A true bucolic scenery ! A walk to do if you are in Phimai.

No entrance feeJust across the main access to the Banyan Tree island, there are many restaurants where you can eat for very cheap.
How to get to Sai Ngam ( Banyan Tree ) ?
Personally, I always go to Sai Ngam by bicycle. I rent it at Phimai Paradise Hotel but it seems that Old Phimai hotel also rent bycycles. otherwise it takes about twenty minutes from the center of Phimai to get to Sai Ngam. You can also hire a tuk-tuk or moto-taxi from the clock tower.Search visits in Thailand by destination
