Visit Wat Sala Loi (Nakhon Ratchasima)
Presentation Wat Sala Loi
g_translate Thai name : วัดศาลาลอย
reviews My opinion:
starstarstar
Wat Sala Loi (or floating pavillion temple) is mostly known for its modern architecture that reinvented the codes of traditional temples. The temple won the Siam Architects Society best avant-garde religious building award in 1973. It houses a large white standing Buddha statue. At the rear, there is a plaster statue of Thao Suranari, sitting in prayer position in the middle of a pond in front of the door. There is often animation in this very popular temple in Nakhon Ratchasima.
