Wat Phra Sorn Kaew Khao Khor
This temple is located between Phitsanulok et Phetchabun, in the district of Khao Khor approximately 90 kilometers from Phitsanulok and 65 from Phetchabun. it famous for its amazing series Bhouddas. Wat Phra Sorn Kaew is installed on a 830 meters high hill. Surrounded by mountains, it offers lovely views. The main pagoda and surrounding buildings are adorned with more than 5 million of colorful mosaic tiles and pottery items. But what is worth visiting at Wat Phra Kaew Sorn are the five sitting Buddha statues grouped in a row from the smallest to the largest. It is unique in Thailand, I think, and it is beautiful especially with the settings around !

There is currently no way to come to the temple by public transport. At best, you can take a bus to Phetchabun that can drop you on Highway 12 at the intersection where the road to the temple starts but you will two kilometers of ascent to walk and catching a bus on the road to come back to Phitsanulok will not necessarily be easy. The best way to come here is to have a car or motocycle or to hire a driver or taxi.

Getting there from Phitsanulok is very simple, you take the direction of Phetchabun and follow Highway 12 between Phitsanulok and Lomsak. A sign will tell you when you should turn left to go up to the temple.
