reviews My opinion:
starstarstarstar
Wat Maha Wanaram is more commonly called Wat Phra Yai (or Wat Pha Yai which means the Big Buddha Temple) and it is true that the golden sitting Buddha statue, Phra Chao Yai In Paeng, the temple hosts is big and beautiful. According to an inscription found, it dates back from 1807. Laotian style, it is probably the most beautiful Buddha image in Ubon Ratchathani. The temple itself, although it is recent and not finished, has a remarkable and unusual architecture with a levels roofs. The decorations including the large relief on the back of the building are interesting. In April, a ceremony is held every full moon day to celebrate the Buddha of the temple.
