reviews My opinion:
starstarstar
Phromthep Cape is THE place to go to watch the sunset in Phuket. Every evening dozens or even hundreds of people come to this cape in the South of the island to watch the sun declinning and coloring sky and sea with its warm colors. There is a large esplanade where you can sit in front of the railing. Personnally, I prefer to on the small path on the left that descends on the rocks to a more natural scenery.

Practical information about Promthep Cape
No admission fee
As far I know, there are no public transport to go to Phromthep Cape. You will have to hire a taxi or rent a motobike. Some agencies also offer to go there but generally it is part of a one-day program that ends with watching the sunset at Phromthep Cape.
There is a small market on the parking lot where you can buy food and drink and some souvenirs.
To go visit Promthep Cape, you can also book one of the tours above.
How to get to Promthep Cape ?
I did not find any easy way to get to Phromthep Cape by public transport. So you will have to have your own ransportation, hire a taxi or a VTC. Some local travel agencies also offer it, but generally is part of a complete one-day program that ends there for sunset. Some people talk about going to Promthep Cape by Smart Bus getting down at Rawai Beach and walking the last 3 km via a trail with a hook on Yanui Beach. I haven't tested. If you're interested, I let you do some research because obviously, it's only interesting if you avoid walking along the road.
