The Emerald Cave or Tham Morakot in Thai (Emerald Cave) is a cave only accessible by sea through a 80 meters long dark tunnel that you can cross by swimming or kayaking (depending on the height of the water) before arriving to a skylight with a small white sand beach and turquoise water. It is also an interesting spot for snorkeling.

The cave is inaccessible at high tide!. The best moment to go to avoid tour groups is to go the morning or late afternoon. Take a mask and snorkel and a waterproof flashlight or frontal lamp to light you in the tunnel.

How to get to Emerald Cave ?

The Emerald Cave is located near the Hat Farang beach. To get there, you can hire a longtail boat (around 700 THB) or kayak (150 THB).
