Your Travel Guide to Thailand
All information & tips to prepare your trip in Thailand
Located near Chatuchak Market, the Children's Discovery Museum in Bangkok offers educational and fun activities tailored to curious young minds. Open since 2001, its access is completely free and if there are areas that, due to lack of maintenance and probably resources, are closed or under renovation, it offers a very wide range of activities that are quite impressive for a place that does not charge an entrance fee! Especially since the Bangkok Children's Discovery Museum is 4 large buildings and a large courtyard so there is plenty of space!
It is true that the science through play part is the one with the most out-of-service installations but your children up to 12 years old will have a great time at the Children's Discovery Museum in Bangkok.
The activities are defined for age groups generally from 3 to 6 years old and from 7 to 12 years old. There is even an area for children under 3 years old. It is always indicated. If your child is over 6 years old, sometimes saying that he is 7 at the entrance to an activity will give him access to more things. Especially the craft and arts workshops.
Also remember to bring swimsuits for the water play area (no swimming, just fountains and jets).
Free entry for all visitors.
Bring parents' ID, such as a passport, for entry
