Located about thirty kilometers from Sakon Nakhon, the village of Ban Tha Rae and its essentially Christian community are famous across Thailand for their Chirstmas Star Parade and its illuminated floats. It is one of the two most beautiful Christmas festivals in Thailand with the one in Chanthaburi. There is a night market and the houses are also very nicely decorated during Chrismtmas time.
