You will be picked up at your hotel between 9am and 9.30am to join the boat in the south of Samui, the wild part of the island. You will board a traditional Thai longtail boat with an English-speaking guide who will explain the program for the day. The longtail boat will head to Koh Taen, a small island south of Samui where around thirty people live without electricity or running water.
After a 20-minute crossing, you will make a first mask and snorkel stop at the coral reef that runs along the island. Discovery of the seabed and multicolored fish with sometimes beautiful encounters. Then you will be teachedo traditional fishing (with a handline) to catch some fish to grill on the barbecue on a small deserted beach for apetizers. Ti punch with Samui rhumand fried shrimps to accompany the grilled fish from the morning catch.
Then, a fisherman will show you around his island aboard his little tractor and take you to his home for lunch. Tt's a magical place! On the menu, fresh fish and local Thai dishes by the sea.
After lunch, you will visit the bat cave, then the vegetable garden with explanations about the different plants. You will then walk on the small paths of Koh Tan for a stroll through the mangroves with explanations of the fauna and flora. One last swim before returning to Koh Samui and your hotel.
