Walk in the forest of Koh Lanta alongside the elephants of this sanctuary which is one of the most ethical in Thailand. Here, you will not show them, you will not soap them, you will not bathe with them... You will only observe them and follow them at a reasonable distance while leaving them free to live their life as domestic elephants.
Details
Follow elephants in their natural habitat while learning about their unique personalities and individual stories. Observe them and let them guide you for an authentic and respectful experience.
You will meet them on the 15-acre forest plot with a pond for their bath. You will watch them, follow them, walk alongside them but you will never herd the elephants. They won't take a break for selfies, nor will you feed them. It may seem frustrating but it's the most respectful way to meet them: by letting them live their lives as elephants. It is not for nothing that Following Giants is supported by the World Animal Protection (WAP) association, a major and recognized player in the defense of animals.
Duration of the walk with the elephants: 2 hours
Nothing sporty about this hike with the elephants. a few areas a little steep but really nothing difficult.
