Roi Et Province, located in Isan, the northeastern region of Thailand, is a diverse destination offering cultural, historical and natural attractions. It is bordered by Mukdahan to the north, Yasothon to the east, Surin to the south and Kalasin to the west. Its climate is similar to that of other provinces of Isan, with high temperatures and a rainy season from May to October.

Points of interest in Roi Et include the Wat Buraphaphiram and its Big Standing Buddha, the most famous monument in the province but its large tower and some temples with unique architecture. There is also an aquarium
