General information about the province of Rayong

rayong

Province of region Eastern Thaïlande

The province of Rayong, located on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand, seduces with its beaches and its peaceful atmosphere. Close to Bangkok, it offers an ideal seaside getaway from the capital. Tourists, in general, mainly go to the island of Koh Samet from the port of Ban Phe but on the land side, there are also interesting places and beaches.

If tourists go to Ko Samed more than Rayong, the city has some interesting places like Yomjinda Road and Wat Pa Pradu. We will also note the large botanical garden of Rayong and its swamps; exploring them by boat or kayak is a great adventure. The province of Rayong is certainly not the most popular with tourists but has nice beaches and you can even go surfing there. The waves are not impressive but it is ideal for beginners. There are clubs which give courses.

For a few days of beach and relaxation far from the very touristy places, outside Koh Samet, very popular on weekends, it is a destination which has its charm.
