prachuap khiri khan

Province of region Western Thaïlande

Prachuap Khiri Khan province is located in southern Thailand, on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand. It is a Balearic destination with friendly beaches, picturesque mountains and unspoilt national parks. If Prachaupa Khiri Khan is the capital of the province, it is the city of Hua Hin which is the most developed and attracts the most tourists, mostly Thai, but also many foreigners. The jewel of the province is the Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, renowned for its spectacular karst formations, and its famous Phraya Nakhon Cave and its small pavilion illuminated by a ray of light. It's one of Thailand's favorite national parks!

It's a beach destination not too far from Bangkok. Those of Cha-Am, Hua Hin and the beach of Ao Manao near the town of Prachuap Khiri Khan. There are also a few temples including the famous Wat Khao Chong Krajok which dominates the 3 bays and the city from the top of its mountain inhabited by a colony of monkeys. Some will also appreciate Ban Krut or Thap Sakae or Bang Saphan, destinations more off the tourist trail.

Destinations to visit in Prachuap Khiri Khan

Hua Hin

The city is a former fishing village and became a very important destination for both foreign and Thai tourists. Thai people come to spend weekends or family holidays. The King of Thailand himself owns a residence nearby. Accommodations, seafood restaurants, pizzerias, bars, massage parlors are very numerous. Everything is gathered for relaxation and having a great time. There are even Thai Boxing stadiums orrfering games twice a week. Do not expect to have many attractions to visit, Hua Hin is ...

Prachuap Khiri Khan

Capital of the province with the same name, Prachuap Khiri Khan is far from the agitation of its neighbour Hua Hin and still has not much foreigners tourists. The city does not lack of charm with its beautiful seafront, a temple perched on a hill where monkeys live and that offers a magnificent view on the bay, without forgetting the atypical Ao Manao beach, its golf with often yellowed grass except for the green just before the beach, its pier, the countryside and the mountains around. Prachuap...

Ban Krut

At about 80 km in the South of Prachuap Khiri Khan, Ban Krut is a highly tourist destination for thai tourists arriving by group buses. So this haven of tranquility with its long beach, the mountains with a golden-roofed Wat Tang Sai temple with its huge Buddha of the same brightness, completely changes on weekends and thai holidays.
At that times, the accommodations prices easily jump 20 to 30%. The beach is ideally oriented for a sunset on the horizon.
Besides, the waterfront and the...

Bang Saphan

Absent or very briefly mentioned in guides about traveling in Thailand, this destination hosts surprisingly many foreign tourists. Those who love the sea in a cool rural atmosphere enjoy here. Some people even say that Bang Saphan is the Pai of the South. The most popular area is Suan Luang Beach. There are a lot of cheap bungalows on the beach and a few restaurants and bars. Ramphueng beach is a little bit more lively. There accommodation do not have direct acce...
