Phrae province is located in northern Thailand. It is clearly a destination that is very little known to foreign tourists and yet, a province that I personally love very much! To the point where I imagined moving there at one point. It is an off-the-beaten-path destination known for its natural beauty, cultural heritage and natural blue dyeing technique. Visitors can explore notable historical sites such as Wat Phra That Cho Hae, the province's most important temple dating back centuries. But also the fortified town and its charming little streets, its old wooden houses bearing witness to traditional Thai architecture and some interesting temples. It's particularly nice in the evening on Walking Street, a small weekly night market. Outside the city, several remarkable hilltop temples, Muang Phi and its rock formations, the Mo Hom dyeing workshops. There are also several other crafts, including a cutler and potters.

Nature lovers and destinations outside the tourist circuits will surely be delighted with their stopover in Phrae. Less known than the neighboring province of Nan, and let's say it, less interesting touristically speaking, remains an interesting stopover for those who take their time .
