ThaiMuseums Day is held every year on September 19. For the occasion national museums in Thailand offer many activities and some of theme are free of charge that day. It is usually the case for the National Museum in Bangkok next to the Grand Palace.
The date of September 19 was chosen for this Museums Day vreated in 1995 because on September 19 in 1874, King Rama V ordered the creation of the National Museum Bangkok.
