Must-visit places in Trat

Koh Chang island

เกาะช้าง
My opinion :

Koh Chang Island and its neighbors are probably the number one reason why tourists come to visit Trat Province. With beautiful beaches, jungle, waterfalls, mangroves and a fishing village, it is a pleasant island destination in Thailand and not that far from Bangkok.

Koh Kood island

เกาะกูด
My opinion :

Koh Mak island

Koh Mak island

starstarstarstar Much less known than Koh Chang or even Koh Kood, Koh Mak island is often appreciated by people looking for a less touristy and more peaceful island. The resorts, restaurants and others are not numerous but that is precisely what they are looking for! Koh Mak is also on the program of boat tours departing from Koh Chang.
Koh Wai island

Koh Wai island

starstarstar Very little developed, Koh Wai island is really not for you if you are looking for comfort and animation! But if you like peaceful atmospheres, in a simple way of life, this is an island that you will probably like. Last time I checked, there were only 4 accommodations in Koh Wai.

Other visits suggestions in Trat

  • The night market
  • Wat Klong Plai
  • Koh Chang and nearby islands
Koh Wai (the wildest one), Koh Mak, Koh Rayong, Koh Kood and Ko Kradat.
  • Namtok Khlong Kaeo National Park
    Lush vegetation and waterfalls
