Transport to go to Khao Yai / leave Khao Yai
To go to Khao Yai ?
To get to Khao Yai from Bangkok by public transport, you have two options. Either you take one of the many buses to Nakhon Ratchasima that leave from the Mo Chit Bus Terminal and get off in Pak Chong. Either you take a train to Pak Chong. It is the cheapest option. Once you arrive, either your hotel will organize a transfer for you, or you can deal the transfert to your accommodation with the collective taxis waiting in the parking lot in front the railway station.Note that you can also go to Pak Chong from Ayutthaya by train. It's direct, no need to go back to Bangkok first.

IMPORTANT: from 19th January 2023, 52 trains leave or arrive in Bangkok at brand new Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station, the other ones will still depart and arrive in Hua Lamphong Station (until next step to move all trains to the new Bangkok railway station). Leave Khao Yai ?
To leave Khao Yai and go to Bangkok by public transport, the most practical and common way is to go to Pak Chong (usually hotels offer transfert to there). Then, either take the train or take one of the buses that connect Nakhon Ratchasima to Bangkok and pass through Pak Chong. Personally, I have a preference for the train.
