Be careful of tuk-tuk drivers who tell you that the Grand Palace, Wat Pho or Wat Phra Kaew are closed and try to take you to visit other places. Most of the time, they lie, everything is open. They try to lure you into their tuk-tuk with very low prices to take you on a tour that is only an excuse to take you to jewelry stores or other shops where they receive commissions and where precious stones or other valuables are often fakes or at least sold much more expensive than their real price. This is one of the classic scams in Bangkok.
The Wat Pho Temple in Bangkok is open every day from 8am and usually closes around 6-6:30pm.
The entrance fee is 300THB per foreign tourist.I remind you that at Wat Pho, as in all Buddhist temples, proper attire is required. This means shoulders and knees covered for men and women and no cleavage for women. Tunics are provided before entering the building of the great reclining Buddha for those who do not wear appropriate clothes.
