Amphawa and the entire Samut Songkram region are known for their floating markets. Amphawa's market, which is more vibrant in the evening, is the most famous in Thailand but also the most crowded with tourists. However, the real curiosity here, which draws hundreds of tourists daily in an increasingly chaotic atmosphere, is the Mae Klong Railway Market, also known as Talad Rom Hub, which folds away at each train passing.
