Thailand is a Buddhist country and has any many temples. But there is also some gigantic Buddha statues: the Big Buddhas or Phra Yai in Thai. Here are the best known Big Buddhas in Thailand.

The Big Buddha in Wat Muang in Ang Thong is the largest in the country (for now) with 95 meters high. |

Wat Pho Reclinig Buddha is the most famous reclining Buddha in the country. |

Phuket Big Buddha perched on a hill between Kata and Chalong, it is still under construction but you can already visit it. |

Koh Samui Big Buddha located not far from the airport, it can be seen through the window when you arrive to Koh Samui or leave the island by plane. |

Pattaya Big Buddha on a small hill between South Pattaya and Jomtien, it is quite modest in size with its 18 meters high. |

We could of course add the Big Buddha at Wat Si Chum in Sukhothai, the oldest Big Buddha in Thailand, the large standing Buddha at Wat Burapha Phiram in Roi Et but these are the best known. Knowing that new Big buddhas are being built and will be built and will perhaps affect this classification…
