Thailand wins TTG Travel Award Destination of the Year 2013
On Ocotober 3, Thailand was named “Destination of the Year 2013” by TTG Travel. One more award in a very long list of distinctions the country and its main destinations and islands got this year.
The Land of Smile received this award for the second consecutive year, making it the 5th time since the creation of TTG Travel in 1989 (1998, 2002, 2006 and 2012).
In the list of TTG Travel Awards 2013, there is also Thai Airways voted as best airline in South Este Asia and best Business Class or Mandarin Oriental, Bangkok’s best hotel.
Mr. Suraphon Svetasreni, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand said, “All these awards are testimony to the fact that the continuous efforts being made by the Thai tourism industry to strive for higher standards are delivering results. In this age of high competitiveness, the only way we can continue to stand out from the crowd is by seeking to ensure value for money, memorable experiences and product differentiation.”
