Thai cooking : Thod Man Pla (fried fish curry cakes)
This Sunday we give you a new recipe: fried fish curry cakes or Thod Man Pla in Thai. A classic that you can find on the menu of many restaurants in Thailand or buy at night markets.
Ingredients:
- 500 g fish fillets chopped
- 250 g . green beans finely crafted
- 1 beaten egg
- 1/4 cup of chopped shallots
- 1/4 cup of garlic ax
- 1/4 cup of chopped lemongrass
- 1/2 tablespoon of chopped cilantro
- 1/2 tablespoon of galanga ax
- 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon grated bergamot
- 1 teaspoon of shrimp paste
- 5 to 10 dried red chillies without seeds crushed
- 1/2 tablespoon of salt
- 1 cup of vegetable oil.
Preparation:
To prepare the curry paste, mash together the shallots , garlic, lemongrass, coriander, galanga, bergamot, crushed dried chillies, salt and shrimp paste to form a thin homogeneous paste.
Put the fish in the mixer, mix it with the curry paste you just prepared. Put a quantity of curry paste in connection with your taste in spicy cuisine.
Add the beaten egg. Mix with the chopped beans. Shape into round, flat cakes.
Heat the oil in a pan, dip the cakes until they are golden.
Serve with cucumber salad and rice or any other accompaniment you like.
