Thai boxing is feminizing
Thai boxing or Muay Thai in thai has always been traditionally a male sport. But there are women practicing it. Women thai boxing is not very present in the media. Except perhaps for the match between a betrayed wife and the mistress of her husband we told you about it a few months ago. All that should change with World Muay Thai Angels 2013, the first International Women’s Thai Boxing Championship.
Men will no longer be the only one having a big competition of Muay Thai
The WMA is the first professional women’s international boxing championship. The first round will be on 2nd October at Central Plaza Ladprao from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The second round with the 8 best fighters will be on 7th November at Central plaza Chanengwattana from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The championship round withe the last 4 fighters will be on 25th December at CentralWorld from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m..
The competition of “Sud Suay Muay Thai Loke”(World Muaythai Angels 2013) is an opening to a new era and a change of image for Thai Boxing circle into a new international platform, as to support and push forward Thai female boxers to bring prestige to the country. It is considered as a first show in Thailand, where the most beautiful women from around the world come to compete for the excellence with the art of Muay Thai, for the purpose of promulgating this Thai art which is an identity of Thai nation for all foreigners to know about, as well as to promote Thai tourism to them.
