You spend to much time in Thailand when…
The more time you spend in Thailand either for vacation or because you live there, the more typical thai habits you take. We can say that you spend too much time in Thailand when:
- you take a taxi or motorcycle taxi just to do 50 meters
- you crammed all your family on your scooter to go to the night market
- when you meet someone of the opposite sex for the first time after the usual formalities, you ask him or she if he/she is married and how much he/she earns for a living
- you swim in T-shirt and shorts but never in a swimsuit
- you finish all your sentences with kha or krap even if you speak English
And once you’re back in your country:
- you show up at the train station without ticket and expect to leave within the hour
- you insist that the taxi driver starts the meter
- you don’t dare to hold your boyfriend’s or girlfriend’s hand in the street because “people can see”
- you take off your shoes before entering to your hairdresser shop and asks him for a foot massage
- you wear shorts under your skirt (if you’re a women of course!)
If you have any of these symptoms, maybe you spend to much in the Land of Smile!
