Taxi fare in Thailand to go up starting today !

We talked about you here one month ago it was scheduled for December 1st and was postponed but now it is effective :the taxi fare will rise in THailand stating today, December 13, 2014.

The increase will be from 8 to 13% and two baht more per minute in case of traffic jam and (when the taxi can not move more than six kilometers per hour.

Under the new metre fare system, the starting rate for the first kilometre  will be 35 baht.

Otherwise to go around ino Bangkok, there are subways, the Chao Phraya Express, shuttles on the klong, buses or pun pun bikes.
