Big Mountain Music Festival, the largest music festival in Thailand
The Big Mountain Music Festival held every year in December in the Khao Yai park, 2 hours from Bangkok route is definitely the most popular music festival in Thailand. Particularly among young people. The TV series “Hormones” (you can find episodes with English subtitles here) even made the festival the location of the final episode of its first season.
The festival lasts 2 days and 2 nights. With a huge stage and 5 smaller stages and a whole site dedicated to fun and entertainment, the festival welcomes nearly 30,000 spectators every year, some plant their tent in the camping area, ideal location for those who want to enjoy the nature and music at the same time.

Expect to pay around 2000 baht for a pass. Tickets can be purchased on site Thai Ticket Major.
This year the Big Mountain Music Festival will take place on 6 and 7 December 2014.
