River Festival in Bangkok from 1 to 6 November 2014
On the occasion of Loy Krathong, Bangkok gonna party around its iconic river, the Chao Phraya River by organizing the River Festival on 1-6 Novembre.
The River Festival is held on the banks of the Chao Phraya in Bangkok.
From Rama VIII Bridge to Asian Riverfront, this festival will feature fun activities and host wonderful shows that will make you travel through time, discover the art and ancient traditions still followed by riverside communities. Apparently, this will also be an opportunity, to enjoy a night tour of some temples.
Key places where the River Festival of Bangkok will take place:
- Asiatic the Riverfront
- Yodpiman Flower Market
- Wat Arun, the Temple of Dawn
- Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha
- Wat Prayurawongsawas Worawihan (Wat Prayoon)
- Wat Kalayanamitr Varamahavihara
As these sites are on both sides of the river, there will be free shuttle boats operating during the event. From November 1 to 5 boats will operate from 5 pm to 10 pm. On November 6, the day of Loy Krathong, the boats will stop at 11 pm.
