Visit Nan by bike for free
The city of Nan , is not the most touristy city in Thailand , however, it has some assets, including some very interesting temples and a pleasant countryside. To campaign in favor of cycling and low-carbon emission, the municipality of Nan offers free bikes to visit the town and its surroundings.
Associated with Dasta (Designated Administration for sustainable tourism development zones), the city offers 30 bikes including 18 tandems every day from 8:30 to 16:30. A great way to explore the old town, to visit the National Museum of History, admire Hong Chao Fong Kham, a beautiful teak house in traditional Lanna style or to go to the Wat Phrathat Chae Haeng temple, perched on a hill 3 km from Nan . We may try to enjoy it. We just have to find a nice guesthouse in Nan, if you have suggestions, do not hesitate !
Nan is in the eponymous province in the North of Thailand, 660 km from Bangkok. The city is bathed by Nan river.
