Thai Heritage Conservation Day
Information about Thai Heritage Conservation Day
Thai Heritage Conservation Day has been celebrated annually since 1985 both to honor Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the second daughter of King Rama IX, born on April 2, 1955, and to celebrate the contribution of the royal family to the creation and conversation of national heritage.
On this occasion, many cultural activities are organized like academic seminars, exhibitions, conferences, concerts and often the entrance fees of the national museums and thai historical parks are free. This day, Thai citizens are also encouraged to decorate the buildings with the national flag.
