Makha Bucha at Dhammakaya Temple in Pathum Thani
As we indicated in our previous article tomorrow Thailand celebrates Makha Bucha Day. And if there is one place in Thailand where this festival is very spectacular especially for the evening session, it is at Dhammakaya Cetiya in Pathum Thani at the outskirts of Bangkok.
Here are some pictures from the temple’s website that should make you want to participate. But remember, it is a religious ceremony and not a tourist attraction. There are rules to follow. Being dressed in white is the most important one.
Evening Session at the Dhammakaya Cetiya
- 18.00 : Meditation Practice / Light of Peace Illumination Ceremony
- 19.00 : Circumambulation Ceremony
- 19.45 : Resolutions, spread loving kindness, and pay homage to the Triple Gem
- 20.00 : End of Ceremony.
