“1600 Pandas+” have been around the world and are now landing in the ‘Land of Smiles’. Central Embassy will take them on their newest adventure around Thailand for the first time. Each one of these loveable pandas has their own character and expressions to show off their personalities.

They’ve touched down in Thailand to spread their very important message for the WWF-Thailand on how vital environmental preservation is.

This is the continuation of ‘1600 Pandas’ which began in 2008 as a collaboration between WWF-France and the artist Paulo Grangeon. The title “1600 Pandas+” refers to both the increase in the population of wild giant pandas of 17% since the inception of this project, but also to increased public awareness of panda conservation, which is always a reminder of wildlife and environmental sustainability.

March and April will see Thailand taken over by these cuddly pandas offering everyone the chance to mingle and mix with these detailed paper mache symbols, as they spread their message of ‘for the world we live in and the ones we love’.

Although the picture released shows the sculptures at Sanam Luang, the park in front of  Wat Phra Kaew temple in Bangkok, the pandans will only stay there 3 days (starting March 4). The, they will go around Bangkok (see the schedule below).
