New express buses from Don Muang to Khao San and Lumphini
Good news, new buses have been set up a few days ago in Bangkok. They connect the city second airport, Don Muang, to Khao San Road and Lumphini Park.
Don Muang is the airport where depart and arrive most flights of low cost airlines and unlike its alter ego Suvanabhumi Airport, it is not linked to central Bangkok by metro. Generally, passengers take a taxi or the bus that connects the airport to Mo Chit BTS station. Some take the train (train station is just opposite the airport) to get to the central station of Bangkok, Hua Lamphong and then use the subway or take a taxi.
Since Friday, there is a new option : express buses to Khao San, Bangkok “backpacker” district, and Lumphini Park in Bangkok.
This new Airport LimoBus Express service with buses equipped with free wifi to allow passengers to stay connected, offers two roundtrip itineraries from Don Muang Airport, one to reach Khao San Road and the other to go to Lumphini Park through Ploenchit.
The price is 150 THB. There is a departure every hour from 9:30 am to 0:40 in the direction Airport to downtown Bangkok and from 4 am to 8:30 pm in the direction Khao San or Lumphini to Don Muang. Buses at Gate 5 in the arrival hall of the airport.
