Street Food Bangkok, the new application

The street food is an institution in Thailand. But for a foreign traveler it is not always easy to know where to go and what to order. There are several guides and applications like Street Food Bangkok. Quick test of this new app…

The application includes a directory of 120 shops and stalls with GPS location and covers 25 types of typical Thai dishes of popular street food that are popular with locals and travelers.

You choose the dish you want to eat and the application telles you the places when you can have it. For each dish, you can press on the llittle “i” to have a little presentation of it.

Related with Google Map, the application allows you to clearly locate the stalls and display routes. The addresses of the shops and stalls are also given in Thai language so you can ask for directions just see find them by recognizing the sign which is rarely written in English.

Very convenient: for each address you have directions to get there by car or public transport and even the indications of direction in Thai to show to your taxi or tuk-tuk driver.

We regret that there is no sound file ordering the dishes in Thai for you (it remains you the possibility to show a picture) but for those who want to discover new street food addresses in Bangkok, it is an interesting app.

And when traveling in Thailand, you must eat street food at least once, it’s part of the attractions of the country !
