This was Songkran 2015 !

Here it is, the official 3 days of Songkran are finished (although in some cities such as Pattaya it continues). We picked a small selection of Bangkok Post pictures to illustrate the Songkran Festival in 2015.

Songkran is a subtle blend of religious rites, prayers, paying respect to old people and … and… big water fights and parties. And it’s mostly pictures of water fights in the street that are flooding the web every year. Small selection…

There were also beautiful temple ceremonies where people put scented water on Buddha statues. And this is the Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok that attracted most people. So many that access was free !
