Where to celebrate New Year Countdown 2014 in Thailand ?
If the Thai New Year is celebrated in mid-April, Thailand also celebrates the western calendar’s New Year on December 31 and in some cities farewell to 2013 and welcoming 2014 will be the opportunity of a big party.

- Bangkok : Countdown 2014 at Central World with concerts of thai stars and international musicians and spectacular fireworks. It is the biggest countdown festival in Thailand.

- Chiang Rai : The Three Nation’s Countdown in Mae Sai district features stage entertainment showcasing the culture of the three Golden Triangle countries – Thailand, Lao PDR. and Myanmar -which will fascinate and entertain before midnight’s musical fireworks display.
- Pattaya : Countdown 2014 at Bali Hai Pier on the southern part of Pattaya Beach.New Year’s Eve will be the highlight of a weeklong celebration that includes concerts by famous Thai and international musicians and a wide range of entertainment including cultural and culinary fun. The countdown will be marked with a fireworks spectacular.
- Hat Yai : Countdown 2014 will take place Niphat Uthit 3, Sanehanusorn, Thammanoonvithi and Chee Uthit Roads in Songkhla’s Hat Yai district. Highlights include concerts by big name Thai artists. There will also be displays of traditional Thai circle dance and a massive fireworks at midnight.
- Phuket : Countdown 2014 will be held at Sanam Chai, opposite the Provincial Hall. Series of concerts and performances on stage before the fireworks countdown. Eletronic music lovers can attend the Phuket Electronic Music and Dance Festival on 30 and 31 December 2014 on the beach of Karon.
- Khon Kaen : The Happy Family Party 2014 will take place for a week in Khon Kaen. Activities for families will be organized on Road Srichan by the ancient Khon Kaen Gate and there will be lots to see and do including the countdown fireworks.
