Bangkok is not best destination in the world any more

In the past four years the capital city of Thailand was voted as best destination in the world by readers of the US magazine Travel & Leisure. But that was before…

The 2014 list has just been revealed by the magazine team and Bangkok is not at the first place any more. Worse, Bangkok is not in the top 10 at all.

An impressive nosedive that sohould be probably explained by the tense political situation in Thailand and particularly in Bangkok in 2014  and by the coup in late May 2014.

After several weeks of strict rules including curfew, the country had gradually regained its appeal to tourists but this is probably here you have to look to understand why Bangkok is not in the Top 10 best destinations in the world of Travel & Leisure magazine any more.

No doubt the Thai capital regin a place in this Top 10.

So now Kyoto in Japan, is best destination in the world, followed by Charleston in the United States, Florence in Italy, Siem Reap in Cambodia, neighboring city of Angkor and Rome.
