Thai Cultural Fair in Koh Kret (Bangkok) this week-end

The small island of Koh Kret is a change of scenery a few miles away from the center of Bangkok. This weekend will be held Koh Kret annual festival, the Thai Cultural Fair Koh Kred.

On 11 and 12 April 2015, there will be a cultural fair at Wat Poramaiyikawat, the main temple on the island. In general,  boats drop you near this temple.

The event will feature cultural performances, exhibitions, demonstrations of traditional crafts and Thai cuisine, as well as photo shoots in the context of the unique Thai-Mon community. The people living on the island are Mon. There are very welcoming and even more during their cultural fair.

Ko Kret is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Nonthaburi province. Located on the Chao Phraya River, the small island is inhabited by a community known for its pottery and traditional cuisine.
