Bangkok – Ayutthaya in a steam train
It has become a tradition that is repeated every year with great success, State Railway of Thailand ( SRT ) offers this Sunday a Bangkok – Ayutthaya trip in a steam train. A very popular experience so book your tickets as soon as possible !
It is during Thai Railway Week from March 23 to March 28 that this special train journey from Bangkok to Ayutthaya will be offered. Starting Sunday, March 23 at 8am from Hua Lamphong station, the train will stop at Samsen Bang Sue, Bang Khaen, Laksi and Don Muang before arriving in Ayutthaya at 10:30 am. The return journey will leave at 5 pm from Ayutthaya and reach Bangkok around 19:30.
Seats are priced at 222 THB 555 THB. You can buy them in the following stations: Hua Lamphong, Samsen, Bang Sue, Laksi, Don Mueang, Rangsit, Taling Chan, Makkasan, Klong Tan, Hua Maak, Lat Krabang, Wong Wian Yai and Talad Phlu .
Other events will take place during the week especially at Hua Lamphong station but this journey in train like the one in a in 1897 is certainly the most interesting one !
